For curators and organisers

Fill your room with people who came for the art.

List your exhibitions, workshops and talks where an art audience is already looking. We take no cut of your ticket money — you collect it yourself, at your end.

House of Arts gives your programme a proper page, a public profile and an audience that came here for art rather than for a listings site. You set the price, you run the room, and you keep every rupee of it.

Applying is free and takes about ten minutes. We reply within 24–48 hours.

  • 0% taken from your ticket money — you collect it, you keep it
  • Nothing charged per event, however many you run
  • One page for a whole programme, however many events it holds
  • 24–48 hours to review and publish anything you submit

How listing here works

Four steps, and you can stop at any point without owing anything.

  • 1

    Apply as a curator

Tell us about your practice — what you have organised, what you want to run here. We reply within 24–48 hours, with reasons either way.

  • 2

    Build your profile

Your firm or practice name, logo, city and speciality. It becomes the page people judge you by before writing to you.

  • 3

    Publish events and programmes

One-off events, or several grouped into a programme under one title. Each is read by a person before it goes live.

  • 4

    Fill the room

People find you, mark themselves interested and get in touch. You take bookings and payment your own way, directly.

Who holds the money

The part most listing sites are vague about, so it is first here rather than last.

You do. All of it.

House of Arts takes no event fee of any kind. We do not handle ticket payments, we hold no funds, and we take no percentage. You set the price, you collect it however you prefer, and it never passes through us.

That also means the responsibility is yours: the venue, the schedule, the guest list, and any refund if something changes. We list the event and send people to you. If an attendee has a question about money or a place, it goes to you, not to us.

What we list

Art-related only. It is the rule that makes the directory worth being in.

Yes

  • Exhibitions and openings
  • Workshops and demonstrations
  • Artist talks and panels
  • Residencies and open studios
  • Portfolio reviews
  • Artist markets and fairs

No

  • General commercial promotions
  • Unrelated networking events
  • Anything using the arts as a pretext
  • Events with no named venue or date

If it would not interest somebody who came here for art, it does not belong on the listing — and keeping that line is what keeps your own listing worth something.

Private events

An event can be private: it stays out of the public listing and is reached only by an invitation link you share. Private events are still reviewed before going live, for the safety of everybody involved.

A festival is one page, not five listings

A programme groups several events under one title — an opening, three workshops and a closing talk become a single page people can follow, rather than five listings with no apparent connection to each other.

It gives the whole thing a shape a visitor can understand, and gives you one address to put on a poster.

Before you apply

Do you really take nothing from ticket sales?

Nothing. No percentage, no per-event fee, no booking charge. We never touch the money, which also means we cannot refund it if an event changes — that is yours to settle with your attendees.

Do I need a venue before applying?

No, but you need one before an event goes live. A listing with no named venue or date is not something a visitor can act on, so it will be sent back.

Can I sell my own work as a curator?

Not on a curator account — that needs an artist account, which is a different thing. If you do both, tell us and we will sort out something fair rather than charging you twice over.

What does "interested" mean?

It tells you somebody is considering coming and helps you judge numbers. It is not a booking and reserves nothing. You take the actual bookings yourself, using the contact details on your listing.

What if I stop paying for a plan?

Publishing new events pauses. Everything already published stays exactly where it is — your profile, your past events, your programmes — and renewing turns publishing back on.

How many events can I run?

That depends on your plan, which sets how many events and programmes you may have live at once. You can change plan whenever you like.

Tell us what you are planning.

Applying is free, takes about ten minutes and commits you to nothing. If it is not right for the gallery, we will say so plainly and tell you why.
