Mixed media is what happens when one material cannot say the whole thing: ink over acrylic, charcoal drawn back into a wash, collage and texture built up until the surface becomes part of the subject.
Every photographic work at House of Arts is printed on archival paper, editioned and signed, supplied framed and ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity. Sizes run from small prints to large-format works, with commissioned shoots available for specific spaces.
Why I am doing this
A letter from the founder.
I am Aditya Kumar, an artist based in Mohali, and the founder of House of Arts. I know what it is to make work that deserves a wall and not know how to reach the person who would give it one.
Original paintings are priced and sold for people who already collect. The artists who make them, mostly people nobody has heard of, often cannot reach buyers at all. At the other end, many households would happily live with an original if someone made it possible. That gap is what House of Arts exists to close.
I want a household on a middle or lower income to be able to own a real painting, and I want the artist who made it to be paid fairly and on time.
