Mixed Media Art

Mixed media is what happens when one material cannot say the whole thing. Ink laid over acrylic, charcoal drawn back into a wash, jute and mesh worked into the surface until it becomes part of the subject.

These pieces reward standing close. There is grain, edge and relief that a photograph flattens and a print cannot reproduce at all. Carrying both texture and colour, they hold a wall on their own — which makes them a natural choice for a stairwell, a reception, or the one space in a house that needs something with weight.

Every piece is an original, built by hand, signed, framed and ready to hang.
